After a tiring year at work, you are looking forward to a much-awaited holiday, one where you can pack your bags and just have a good time. Unfortunately, the planning can get in the way of a fun cruise vacation. There’s many details that need to be taken care of that you may not realize. Fortunately, there are tips and tricks for being prepared for a cruise holiday.
To help you plan your cruise, consider the following tips:
1. Be clear of your check-ins
Three days before your departure, you are required to submit an online check-in. Royal Caribbean does that with good reason as they need to ensure proper verification of the documentation of all the passengers on the cruise. Once your online check-in is successfully completed, you will be provided with your boarding pass.
2. Have your luggage transported
No one likes to heave their luggage along with them all the way. But do not worry, you can choose to have your luggage transported to the airport directly. This can be done for a small fee. However, this is only an option for those who travel on an afternoon or evening flying service.
3. Book your flight two days prior to embarkation
This is one of the most important travel tip that anyone can give you. The reason being that for any unforeseen circumstances, your flight may get delayed or canceled. If these little setbacks meddle with your cruise schedule, your entire journey is bound to go for a toss. You certainly would not want that to happen after spending thousands of dollars on booking that cruise. Not to mention the disappointment of missing out on something you were looking forward to for so long.
4. Pack smartly
You do not have to unnecessarily pack your entire wardrobe’s worth of clothes along with you. Not only would this be a burden to carry, but it also does not make any sense as it is not required. Pack according to the season you are traveling in. For example, if you are traveling in the winter, make sure to carry along with you a single jacket or a shawl. Additionally, make sure to pack an extra set of clothes that you will use once as soon as you arrive on-board in your hand luggage. The reason being, you do not get access to your checked-in luggage immediately, so it is good to keep stuff on you that you would require once you get on board, so you can start enjoying it immediately.
